It’s a giant technicolor clam!
What’s up with this wildly colored giant clam? Is it real, is it electrified, is it going to explode? Find out in this post from scientist Stephanie Wear, who’s in Palau with clams just like this one.

Back from holidays, a few hundred digital photos between us and £65 of film!
On our last day, we decided to have a go at paragliding from a mountain in Oludeniz, Turkey. The peak of the mountain was 6550 ft, or 2000 meters, which is quite high. My pilot was called Mustafa, he was nuts. Nine years worth of experience and his passion for the sport was immense!
Taff followed us down, and we watched him spiral (not Taff, example of spiral), then followed suit. Awesome.
Loved it, absolutely loved it.

Another shot from one February sunset on the coast.
There’s something about standing there in the water while taking shots like this that make them more personal - at least for me.
By the way - we now carry baby powder in the trunk of our car. There’s not an easier way to get the sand of the legs after a photo shoot like that.

A rework of an older color image I posted. Took a look at it in B&W, and decided I like this more.
Which one do you like?
You can see the set from Embarcadero Center here. I have a few more images to share from archives later this week.
